TEST HOW PREPARED YOU ARE!!

Scenario 1 - You are sitting home, watching television with your younger children. Your spouse and two of your older children are at different school activities. You suddenly feel your house shake, a lamp starts to sway, books fall off a shelf, then lights go out. You realize you have experienced an earthquake. Do you know where to go, what to do, or how to find the rest of your family? Can you assess the damage to your home without endangering yourself or children? Do you know where to go to help recover your losses?

Scenario 2 - You are watching the news, when a special bulletin announces that there is a snow avalanche on a mountain road. Some of your family have been skiing above this road and haven't returned home yet. Can you contact them? If they are stranded in the mountains in freezing temperatures and snow for the night, can they take care of themselves? Is there proper equipment in the car to help your family survive?

Scenario 3 - An airplane crashes into an electrical substation. You will be without power for 3-5 days. Do have the adequate supplies for light and warmth? Do you know how to keep the food in your refrigerator and freezer from spoiling? Will you be able to prepare meals and take care of sanitary needs for your family?

Scenario 4 - A train carrying chemical toxics has derailed within 1 mile of your home. The city and countryside are being evacuated within a 5 miles radius. You only have a few minutes to leave your home. Are you prepared to close down your home, find your family and take the right supplies to your point of evacuation?

Scenario 5 - You are awaken at 2:00 in the morning by your smoke alarm. Do you and your two small children upstairs know what to do? Do you have a plan and have you practiced your fire drill with your family?
